Hyssopus officinalis chemotype pinocamphone essential oil is produced from steam distillation of the plant commonly known as Hyssop. A member of the Lamiaceae (formally Labiatae) botanical family, it is a bushy, fragrant medicinal herb native to Southern Europe, now common in ornamental gardens across the globe. Hyssop is easy to grow and can have white, pink, or blue flowers that are well known for attracting hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees.
Hyssop essential oil blends well with other citrus, herb, and camphorous essential oils. Try diffusing with Lemon, Eucalyptus, Juniper Berry, and Tea Tree for a clean, invigorating aroma to freshen the air. It may assist with the appearance of skin when properly diluted and applied topically in very low doses as part of a blend. Also, consider blending with oils like Grapefruit, Tangerine, Rosemary, and Peppermint for a calming, yet stimulating morning diffuser blend.
